Mark Davis is a Southern Maryland attorney who focuses his practice in the areas of Real Estate, Corporation and Business Associations, and Land Use & Zoning. He provides legal direction for many professionals in Southern Maryland's banking industry and handles complex commercial transactions for some of Southern Maryland's largest business entities. His extensive knowledge of Calvert County's Comprehensive Plan regarding Agricultural Preservation, Environmental Protection, Critical Areas, Town Centers, and Land Use & Zoning Ordinances place him in high demand as experienced counsel. He is the managing member of Davis, Upton, Palumbo & Keffler, LLC.
Mr. Davis is the current president of the Calvert County Bar Association, and serves on the Board of Directors for both the Calvert County Chamber of Commerce and the Calvert County Economic Development Commission. In the past he has held key positions on the Calvert County Republican Central Committee, and the boards of Calvert Hospice and The Calverton School. He has provided leadership and coaching for the Calvert High School Mock Trial Team, and has been a past speaker for Criminal Justice Seminars at Calvert and Northern High Schools.
Mark earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1992, becoming a member of the Order of the Coif, an honor bestowed upon the top 10% of a graduating class. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland in 1984.
He lives in Huntingtown with his wife and two daughters.
